My name is Parker Culp. I'm a 2019 graduate of Campbell County High School in Alexandria, KY and a 2023 graduate of Xavier University where I received my BA in Theatre.
I fell in love with the stage when my mother took me to see Shrek-The Musical. That led me to a starring role in Cline Elementary School's production of 12 Angry Pigs (thankfully no video exists!). From that point forward, I looked for any opportunity to get onstage and entertain people.
From Cline Elementary, I then moved onto Northern Kentucky University's Music Prep program where I was able to play such great roles as The Modern Major General in The Pirates of Penzance and Mayor Shinn (all 4'6" of me) in The Music Man Jr.
I was fortunate enough to be accepted into the Cincinnati Children's Theatre's summer intensive program when I was in middle school which helped to broaden my talents. I then began performing with local community theatre groups in the greater Cincinnati area. I was lucky to have a high school with a strong theatre program and participated in each of my four years at Campbell County.
Prior to my senior year, I was able to participate in CCM's summer intensive program which created my first exposure to Stephen Skiles from Xavier. He encouraged me to further develop my craft and I was excited to be accepted into his program at Xavier where I participated in 15 shows both on-stage as well as in technical roles.
I love how acting creates opportunities to tell a story by using various methods.
